Individual therapy sessions are typically 55 minute, one to one, sessions that can be either talk therapy, art therapy, or both combined; whatever makes you most comfortable. You will always have the option to use art in sessions, but it is not required. You do not need to be "good at art" to participate in art therapy; the willingness to try and the process in creating are the most important parts of art therapy. Therapy sessions are scheduled weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly depending on level-of-care needs. Some insurances accepted. Virtual only for Texas residents.
Art for wellness sessions are individual, 30 minute art-making sessions. These sessions are meant to create space for calm art-making while tackling stress. These sessions are great for busy adults or teens that need an outlet to express pent up emotions. Can be scheduled weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. Virtual only.
Art therapy process groups are focused on one topic or theme, such as anxiety, grief, depression, and many others. These groups are meant to support you and others in expressing and processing emotions/thoughts about the topic and ultimately help you move forward by building confidence and a community. These groups meet bi-weekly on a specific day of the week for 60 minutes. Virtual only.
Art therapy workshops are groups based on tackling a specific area you are struggling with. For example, art-making for anxiety relief. These sessions are group-based 90 minute long sessions that come with worksheets and education so you can practice skills on your own to support continued relief. These workshops are scheduled in advanced and are completed in one session. Virtual only.
